treyguinnOn this Throwback Thursday, remember what is was like to be a student by attending a class with UIW Communication Arts Program Director, Dr. Trey Guinn. A student favorite, Guinn's teaching, research and professional work is focused on communication effectiveness and human relationships.

Dr. Trey Guinn is Assistant Professor and Director of Communication Arts at University of the Incarnate Word. A native of San Antonio, Guinn holds bachelor’s and master’s degrees from Baylor University in Waco, Texas, and a Ph.D. from the University of Texas at Austin. Dr. Guinn’s teaching, research and professional work focus primarily on communication effectiveness and human relationships. He has taught an array of undergraduate and graduate courses and is an active member of multiple professional organizations, such as the Fulbright Association and the National Communication Association (NCA). His work has been published in various academic journals, textbooks, and more. As a consultant and executive coach, Guinn specializes in personal branding, presentational effectiveness, business pitches, interview preparation, interpersonal relationships, team dynamics, and networking. In addition to individualized executive and life coaching, he works frequently with the Texas MBA + Leadership Program and Executive Education center. He has consulted for professionals locally and across the globe from companies such as Apple, AT&T, Bain & Company, BBVA-Compass, BCG, Chevron, Deloitte, Dell, Harvard Business School, Intel, GE, Hewlett-Packard, McKinsey, Microsoft, National Football League, PWC, and more. Guinn is joyfully the husband to Shannon and dad to two precious daughters. When not working, he is often spotted running along Broadway or drinking coffee with colleagues and friends.
