Dr. Trey Guinn is Assistant Professor and Director of Communication Arts at University of the Incarnate Word. A native of San Antonio, Guinn holds bachelor’s and master’s degreesfrom Baylor University in Waco, Texas, and a Ph.D. from the University of Texasat Austin. Dr. Guinn’s teaching, research and professional work focus primarily on communication effectiveness and human relationships. He has taught an array of undergraduate and graduate courses and is an active member of multiple professional organizations, such as the Fulbright Association and the National Communication Association (NCA). His work has been published in various academic journals, textbooks, and more. As a consultant and executive coach, Guinn specializes in personalbranding, presentational effectiveness, business pitches, interviewpreparation, interpersonal relationships, team dynamics, andnetworking. Inaddition to individualized executive and life coaching, he works frequentlywith the Texas MBA + Leadership Program and Executive Education center. He hasconsulted forprofessionals locally and across the globe from companies such asApple, AT&T, Bain & Company, BBVA-Compass, BCG, Chevron, Deloitte,Dell, Harvard Business School, Intel, GE, Hewlett-Packard, McKinsey, Microsoft,National Football League, PWC, and more. Guinn is joyfully the husband to Shannon and dad to two precious daughters. When not working, he is often spotted running along Broadway or drinking coffee with colleagues and friends.
