Your UIW Alumni Association is partnering with Career Services to bring you this exclusive panel of alumni speakers! We can't wait for you to hear their personal stories of mentorship, how to identify a mentor, and tips and on how to achieve academic and career goals.
Josh Gonzalez is a local business owner who currently operates a district of 9Round 30 Minute Kickbox Fitness franchise locations across the northwest side of San Antonio. He is a native to the city and spent his early years on the southside of San Antonio near Mission Conception. In 2014 he decided to purchase his first fitness franchise with the goal of opening 5 locations in 5 years. Josh, along with his incredible team, has been able to achieve the goal of operating 5 locations across the city and serving over 1000 clients helping them change their lives both physically and mentally. He received both his bachelor's degree and masters of business administration from the University of The Incarnate Word.
Claudia received her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology of Organizations and Development in 2007 from UIW. Claudia loves volunteering in LGBTQ equality initiatives in her community and loves Yoga so much that she became a Registered Yoga Teacher last year. Claudia has over 20 years of Human Resources experience and loves her current job as Talent Acquisition Specialist II with Security Service Federal Credit Union.
Gisel Torres, BBA '20
Gisel Torres is a recent graduate of the University of the Incarnate Word. She received a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration with a concentration in International Business, as well as minors in Spanish and Marketing. She is currently employed at The Bottom Line Tax Services as an Administrative Assistant. There, she is gaining valuable experience working alongside tax professionals that work with individuals as well as small business owners.
David Albert, BBA '20
David Albert is the current Senior Marketing Officer at Renaissance Dental; the Fort Worth branch of the “DFW Dental Offices Corporation” and was brought in on July 1st. David was able to gain the experience needed for this job while only fresh out of college thanks to his internship at Slapiton Incorporated throughout his college career. Which gave him hands-on credibility in Brand marketing and Social Media advertising.
