Alumna Nominated for Businesswoman of The Year Award
Jessica Davila-Burnett ‘05, ‘06 was recently nominated for the 2021 Businesswoman of the Year award by the Greater Boerne Chamber of Commerce.
Davila-Burnett, who holds a Bachelor of Arts and a Master of Arts in Organizational Development, owns and operates JDB Public Relations and Executive Coaching which offers its clients public relations and media communications support.
The Boerne Chamber of Commerce comes together every January to honor its leaders in the community - awarding Business of the Year, Businessman of the Year, Businesswoman of the Year and Nonprofit of the Year.
“I love that the Boerne Chamber of Commerce takes the opportunity to recognize businesses, small businesses and business leaders for their efforts in helping to make our community a better place,” said Davila-Burnett. “I am nominated along with, and in the company of, stellar women in our community, and for that reason alone, I already feel like a winner.”
The 2015 recipient of the Alumni of Distinction Service Award is a strong advocate of community involvement. Whether it's in the Corpus Christi area where she is originally from, or Boerne where she currently resides, her active participation reflects the dedication to serving the people of her community.
“I am extremely grateful for being a member of the Boerne community. I hope to continue to make a difference in the lives of others and for the town I cherish so much,” she added.
The Boerne Chamber of Commerce Annual Awards Gala - presented by BEC will be held on Saturday, Jan. 22, at the Cana Ballroom located at St. Peter the Apostle Catholic Church.
