Asia Ciaravino '98 Named President & CEO of the Children's Shelter

Ciaravino joins the Children's Shelter after serving five years as president & CEO of SA Youth

Asia Ciaravino ‘98 was recently named president & CEO of the Children’s Shelter, a nationally accredited and trauma-informed care nonprofit in San Antonio. Ciaravino, who received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Theatre Arts from UIW, will start her new role this coming May.

The former chair and founding member of United Way's Emerging Leaders Council will be leaving SA Youth after serving as their president & CEO for nearly five years. With more than twenty years of experience in community-driven organizations, she comes into this new position eager to continue her work as an advocate for the youth in the Alamo City.

“The decision to leave SA Youth was a difficult one but was made easier knowing I will continue to serve our city's youth at their most vulnerable stage in life,” said Ciaravino.

In addition to her degree from UIW, the San Antonio native holds a Master of Science in Nonprofit Management from Our Lady of the Lake University.
